I headed again to the Extremesportweekend in Norway with some friends. We packed up our car with a trailer behind it with all kind of gear. Kites, surfboards, bikes, skateboards, tent and sleeping bags:)
It is a long drive, about 6-7 ours so we arrived late in the evening. We woke up with super wether, it was now wind so we went for biking.
The mountains its super nice over there, nice tracs for the bikes but you need a mountain bike. We had two days with biking and one day flouting in the river with a surf board, was good fun as well.
Ones again we had now wind for the kiteevent over there. We had two years with wind and now two years of now wind so next year it gonna be a killer:)
We had nice wether all week long and it is so many grate people, bands and artists, lot of activitys but still I miss the kiting in the river there. It is a really good spot. |

Another Easter is over but it is still snowing at Haugastøl. Thats good, it means we will have grate snow at Red Bull Ragnarrock. Haugastøl have been pretty busy, some kiters and some visitors who comes every year. I had two nice session at the plato, and two days in the slopes, Had fresh powder until my knee at Hemsedal (grate skiresort 1,5 ours from Haugastøl), not bad to be easter time. Was out kiting with the C4 11m2 and 9m2, was so good! I like the kites so much, can´t wait to tray them on the water. They are so nice to handle, turn fast, super for wakestyle the popp it´s amazing. So tray it if you have the possibility, I bet you like it. I also tray to do other sports this days so I get stronger legs for the Ragnsrrock. Next weekend I go to Galdhøpiggen witch is the biggest mountain in Norway. It is a free ride competition, you walk up and it is the first one to the bottom. If you not go by your own you can join a teem with 3 and 3 people. I go with my two brothers, they are skiing a lot but still I don´t want to be the last one. We all start at the same time but they don´t stop the clock before the last one is crossing the finish line. I will update you on my webpage. www.sigvebotnen.com Have a nice day and hope to see some of you at Red Bull Ragnarrock:) |

Have been 3 days in Canada in Panorama, 2 days snowboarding and one day hellyskiing. What a beautiful place!
It was Chris and Cheldon from Decosse Custum witch take Bjørn and me with them for skiing. Thanks a lot too you booth and spesial thank to Chris ho organized all this to happend. RK Hellyskiing had a nice area cold Panorama. It is so big, I guess they had over 100 drop of places. We was lucky with our day hellyskiing, it was a bit foggy in the morning but cleared up at our first drop off. So we had sun all day and 60-70 cm powder. It was a crazy day, we had 5 trips with the helicopter and one trip took us around 40 min to ride. I guess we normally had around 1500 m from drop off to the pick up place. With new ski and snowboard we smiled more then ever before.
We also went to Idaho for some kiting. It is to competition we will join, one in Idaho and one in Skyline. The competition in Idaho ended with now wind so now competition. But the area here is so huge, I wooed love to come back here and ride here in Idaho, maybe next year. We had sun and light wind for 10 minutes maybe, to often it is light wind at competitions, sucks:) But in Skyline with Brian and Heather (USA distributors of Ozone) we got some good wind. I did 4 races and win all of them, the Sephyr is the kite when it is not that windy. I already order one:) Skyline it is also nice but not that big, but big enough for sure.
I still had some problem with my knee on this trip so had to take it easy. Glad I am now fit again.
Take care and hear from me soon again:)
Cheers

Reschen, Iscghl 26. 1 - 1.2.10
Since Helly-skiing in Canada is just two weeks away Bjørn and I decided to go to Ischgl. We found some nice faces to ride, and with great weather and powder we had some amazing days in Switzerland. Then we headed towards Reschen to attend the first official world championship for snowkiting. Unfortunately I
injured my knee in the SKM competition, and it had still not healed enough so I had to pass on the competition in Reschen. Now I just hope it will heal in time for the Helly-skiing in Canada and the kite-competitions in the states. To give you a quick update on the norwegian team: Remi won men snowboard, Bjørn won men ski and Kari won the women ski and the race. All in all it was a good world championship for the team. Hopefully next year I´ll join:) |

Was onley Bjørn, Kari and me who decided to go to the snow kite master this year from Norway. Our flight done was smooth, but our car trip from Bergamo was not that smooth sean I delete our map on Bjørns laptop, ha ha, took us some ours but all good at the end. At the SKM we had two days with nice whether an light wind, then to day with bad whether and now competition. So far it was only the woman who have the finish results. The men ski class finish on Friday and us snowboarder on Saturday. Lucky we got all the results. We are a big family from Ozone here, it is nice to see them all again. Kari won the ski class for woman, gratulation:) She was for sure the best girl. In the men ski class Johan Civel was riding really good but ended on the 3 place. Nice and smooth style on his ski for sure. But it was Bjørn from Norway who won the finale, gratulation. Chasta and me ended in the final. The wind was light but it was just enough to run the heat. It was not easy, Chasta have super style and he jumping all the time. But at the end I just nailed him. So we all in the Ozone crew was happy after a nice week with 2 first place one second and 1 third place.
Not been so much kiting for me this season so it is good to do some competition there I can push my level back up to where it shooed be.I can also say thanks to Ozone who mede the new C4 to a super kite. I am very happy with it. I think lots of you out there now this already. This kite have the power and the depower, turning smooth and fast. I also love that it is so easy to feel where the kite is every second. I am very surprised over the biggest kites, when you ride the 15 you think it is a 11 m2. This kite make me to want kite even more:)
Now I have to go out riding:) See you all soon

Just come back home from a sweet week in Portugal. Been kiting and surfing all day long. Went to amazing place cold Esposende, this is a big laguna/river. When the see it´s low all the sandbanks coming up and behind them you get thousand of liters of glassy water. In the evening the wind normally dropping and and it get´s super steady, wish I had some more days here to practice. Had my day of year with the sport 11 in 20 nots, to bad I did not have any photographer with me. This is for sure one of my top 3 kite-spots I ever been so for sure it worth to check it out. I stayed with the Lapoint kite camp in Viana Do Castelo. This is also a good kite spot, nice waves. So if you hook up this area you get what you want, waves, flat water, strong wind, lighter wind, it is also possible to find shoppy water if like that:)
