Flight DY 1157 departed Oslo airport at 2 o'clock in the afternoon heading south to Munich. I am on my way to world's biggest trade show called ISPO.
Brunotti had a big booth there so I wanted to say hello, as we were passing it anyway on our way to the German Open. The booth was impressive with all the new clothing, shoes and sunglasses.I walked around there for two days and I saw only half of the trade show. It is very interesting, all kinds of sports equipment.
After two days at ISPO we drove straight to Reschensee in Italy. The German Open it is quite a big event with race and freestyle competitions. I tried to do the race with the yakuza kite, it is crazy how much power it has. It has no steering bar on it, you steer with handles. I am not used to that so I did not race that well. Better the last time than the first time but still not easy with the handles and 15m lines. Was fun to try. I feel more at home in the free style competition. The conditions were not that good this weekend; flat light and light wind. We did not finish it on Saturday so we had to get up early the next morning. No beer for us, or not than many:) It was almost same condition both days, and light wind does nothing for me. I really don´t like it. But the competition was still running so what can I do? Not much, hope for more wind:) I ended up in 3rd, better then 4th:) Altogether, the trip was nice. Was a good Norwegian crew ,so a lot of fun but let´s hope we get some better conditions next time. Our trip back went smoothly again;) Our plane landed in Osle airport in snow. Lots of snow! Our car was parked outside, not the best decision. The car was covered in snow. Totally. But we like more snow;)I lam ooking forward to go kiting now in Haugastøl. Have some new kites I have to test:) Can´t wait, see you there next weekend maybe?
